Hallyu star Jang Geun-seok appeared on Fuji TV's representative variety program "SMAP X SMAP" in Japan, his agency Tree-J Company said on July 12. Jang appeared in the feature of the program entitled "Bistro SMAP" and had a cooking competition with members of the group SMAP.
The agency said,"Jang Geun-seok pleasantly participated in filming while presenting his witty conversational ability and dancing with SMAP members during the program".
The producer of "SMAP X SMAP" said,"SMAP" members all showed their great aniticipation about the meeting with Jang Geun-seok, who has obtained huge popularity in Japan, and the atmosphere of the film set was very friendly. I think that viewers will definitely show a favorable response towards the program".
Many Hallyu stars such as Jang Dong-gun, Lee Young-ae, Lee Byeong-Heon, Choi Ji-woo, Ryoo Si-won, Kwon Sang-woo, and BoA have appeared on "Bistro SMAP" so far. The episode on which Jang Geun-seok appears will be broadcast as a special episode for 70 minutes on July 18.
