On Jan. 3, KBS announced its decision to have the actress Kim Nam-joo star in the network's upcoming weekend drama, given the working title "You who came covered in ivy". The drama centers on a career-driven woman who finds herself in a difficult relationship with her in-laws upon marrying a doctor.
"Kim's character is a passionate yet professional career woman who never dreamt that she would have to put up with the burden of in-laws", said a KBS representative. The script was written by the Park Ji-eun, the writer behind "My Wife is a Superwoman" (2009) and "Queen of Reversals" (2011), two other works which Kim has starred in.
KBS also added that this is the actress' first role in one of the network's dramas The two previous dramas that Kim featured in were both under MBC. The new weekend drama will start in February as the popular drama "Ojak Brothers" draws to an end.
Kim made her debut in 1994 through the SBS network's talent search. She is also the spouse of actor Kim Seung-woo.
