Actress Jeon Ji-hyeon apparently has been answering questions from a Chinese media in Korean from beginning to end.
Jeon Ji-hyeon is currently going through busy schedules at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in promotion of her movie "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan".
According to the report from some Chinese media, Jeon Ji-hyeon answered her best to all the questions but she answered them in Korean and not Chinese or even English, causing reporters to be taken aback. There was no translator fluent in English, Chinese or Korean.
A media said,"Jeon Ji-hyeon understood the question in English and politely answered them in Korean. Whatever she was thinking, she didn't bring a translator to the interview. We had to translate on our own".
"She didn't seem to be worried about the communication problem, she was imposing and full of individuality".
"Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" is about two women who share friendship exchanging secret messages on fans during the 19th century when women were being suppressed and isolated. Jeon Ji-hyeon is Snow Flower and together with Li Bing Bing, they show friendship beyond generations. It is due to be released on July 15th in North America and China.
